I’m not a jam person, which means I prefer to buy it than make it on my own. However, I finally made it for a very last minute before Christmas. I ran to 3 different groceries stores, but nobody has it. Thankfully, one of the grocery has a bunch of fresh cranberry. Bought it, then I googled on “cranberry sauce recipe by jamie oliver“, and BINGO! It was actually really easy. Cranberry sauce is perfect combination for your gravy, or simply having it with a foie gras for your appetizer. Here is the recipe for a jar of cranberry sauce:
Ingredients
250 gr of cranberries
1 apple (I used Fuji apple), peeled and cut into chunks
75 gr caster sugar
Half stick of cinnamon
Methode
Place all the ingredients in a medium sauce pan. Add a splash of water. Put the pan on a medium heat and bring to the boil.
When the cranberries have burst and apple has softened, reduce the heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
Boil it down until the sauce thickens, take off the heat and leave to cool. Put it in a jar, and store it in a fridge.
